Faithful to the original design and incorporating contemporary technologies, these lights, like all Sammode lights, display an exceptional quality of workmanship and French manufacture. Sammode Studio revisits the avant-garde spirit of one of the key lighting designers of the 1950s. Very prolific, in the 1950s, Pierre Guariche designed a multitude of lighting models corresponding to different uses. His lights offer great user comfort and optimal light quality. There’s no apparent light source, thus avoiding glare. Pierre Guariche didn’t study the possibility of expressing a style, but the best way of lighting a room. The technological ambition of Sammode Studio provides each part of the collection with advanced technical devices (swivel arm, cantilever, swivel or tilting jib, articulated spherical arm or counterweight sphere, etc.). Designed in 1958, the G30 floor lamp was nicknamed the kite by Pierre Guariche himself. Its striking silhouette is characterised by its large curved reflector made of perforated white sheet steel that evokes a boat sail, and invites you to escape. The two brushed brass rods form a V. They are supported on the ground by finned feet.
