Dimensions: H 140 cm - Lampshade: Ø 36.5 x H 21 cm - Base: Ø 26.5 cm - Cable: L 200 cm. “Enter the world of iconic design with this reissued G10 floor lamp, designed by the legendary Greta Magnusson Grossman in 1950. This lamp was the tenth piece created by Grossman for Bergboms, hence the name ‘G10’. Originally from Sweden, designer and architect Greta Magnusson Grossman left Stockholm in 1930 to settle on the west coast of America. She introduced Californians to the unique style of Danish modernism, whose commander-in-chief is Arne Jacobsen. The G10 floor lamp is characterised by an industrial style with pared-back, clean lines while displaying a decidedly soft, elegant silhouette: Grossman would have been humorously inspired by the shape of the women’s hats of the time. The G10 floor lamp has a beautiful mix of materials: the surface of the powder-coated metal lampshade is rough, contrasting with the brass arm that has a smooth, sophisticated surface. The design is very original, with the arm resting off-centre on the circular base. The opal glass diffuser provides bright, uniform light without any glare. This practical lampshade has a brass hinge that enables you to tilt it. It also has the stylish detail of a brass on-off retro switch, also located on the top of the lampshade.
