Sleek lines and an incredibly lightweight form for this aluminium chair design, with attention paid to every last detail. A real featherweight (just 4 kilos), this chair is rock solid thanks in particular to a specific and very technical assembly of the various aluminium parts. Highly ergonomic, the Fromme chair stands out with the absorbers placed under the seat which, like the suspension on a car, provide flexibility and suppleness for optimal comfort. The slightly curved shape of the seat and inclined plane at the front further increase comfort. On this upholstered version, the seat and back are padded and covered with a polyester fabric with a dynamic checked pattern. An avid cyclist, Canadian designer Tom Chung used to climb Fromme Mountain, which is just outside of Vancouver, and was always fascinated by the technical performance of his bike. He wanted to reproduce the efficacy provided by his racing bike to reinvent the most common object, which nevertheless poses the biggest challenge for a designer: a chair. This new addition to the line of avant-garde products from Petite Friture proves once again that the brand gives young designers a chance, trusting them to create key pieces for its collections.
