The Frieda showcases an engineered patchwork of the Collection's colourful Ikat-inspired motifs. Its studied construction unites nine mulberry silk panels, each beautifully printed in Como, Italy. The skirt's panels, which undergo a heat-press fabric manipulation technique to create a stunning pleated effect, are then stitched together to create a timeless A-line silhouette. Prints and patterns from this season's collection are inspired by traditional Ikat designs. The interwoven global history of this technique – from as early as the 10th century – holds cherished historical symbolism and varied origins across cultures in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
