Description
Petite Friture Coffee table Black,Mirror,Blue-purple Metal. Dimensions: Ø 110 x H 24 cm. The Francis mirror table was born from the crossing of totemic forms with the iconic Francis wall mirror created by Constance Guisset in 2012 (awarded the Wallpaper Design Award). The Francis table offers a new look at the Francis mirror: placed horizontally, it reverses the logic of reflection and adds a surprising and poetic touch to your interior design. The Francis table was born from an experiment on pigments. The mirror top is subtly coloured with ''watercolour'' patterns evoking the fleeting vision of colours flowing from the brush in contact with water. The result is a strange illusion reminiscent of the oxidation of old mirrors, reviewed in a light interpretation tinged with modernity. The watercolours are printed in the bottom of the mirror using a lamination technique that gives the product incredible visual depth. French designer Constance Guisset has hand-painted the watercolours by playing around with two series of shades. The watercolours were then digitally worked to amplify the play of colour transparency, strengthen or soften the movement of pigments and thus give rise to unique watercolour patterns. Then, the watercolours printed on the mirror were captured in a glass lamination bringing depth to the eye and strength to these functional tables. In order to bring power and balance to the Francis table, the mirror anchored within the coloured vapours of the watercolours is inserted in a large, solid metal shell. The Francis coffee table comes in 3 sizes that can dress your living room separately or together. Their different heights mean you can create an interplay between them in a harmonious whole. Constance Guisset: ''I set out to create light, animated objects whose elegant fluidity gives rise to astonishment and escape through dreams.'' French designer Constance Guisset has won numerous awards such as the Grand Prix du Design from the City of Paris in 2008, the Public Design Award at the Villa Noailles Design Parade in 2009, the Designer of the Year Award at Salon Maison et Objet and the Audi Talents Awards in 2010.
