The Sun-Light Of Love pendant illustrates the work of Dutch designer Tord Boontje who never stops exploring the alliance between nature and technology. This pendant stands out with its unique sculptural style and superb play of light and shade. Like a flower, a star or the final bouquet of fireworks, the Sun-Light Of Love pendant makes the light dance on our walls and ceilings. It takes no less than 390 metal rays to compose this sphere which gives rise to an absolutely magical play of light! The rays form a balanced, airy geometric volume around the light source which they hide. The multiple rays, arranged in different orientations, reflect the light from the central core in all directions. Their positioning has been designed to allow for lighting that is both intense and direct while preventing the light from being glaring. Fragmented light permeates through the multiple openings enveloping the lampshade with a soft, decorative halo of light that shows off the reliefs of its surface. Designer Tord Boontje on the Sun-Light Of Love pendant: I wanted to bring the sun inside the house. Sun-Light of Love is an object whose limits are difficult to grasp: it's hard to know where it starts and where it ends, like sunlight. There is no clear separation between inside and outside: it’s a geometric presence, but very fluid and organic at the same time.’’ The Sun-Light Of Love pendant light is available in two colours: white evokes the naturalness of floral forms, gold expresses all its solar energy.
