Foscarini Le Soleil LED hanging white
Description
Foscarini Le Soleil - dimmable LED hanging light Dynamic, exciting light images are the specialty of Vicente GarcÃa Jiménez, who laid the foundation in 2009 for the series of lights Le Soleil from Foscarini. Modelled after the architecture of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, Jiménez designed a lighting corpus with very special charm. Six rings made of injection-moulded polycarbonate that attract the eye due to their oblique cut and their different diameters, composed by the designer into a multi-layer lampshade. The opaque bands skilfully direct the warm LED light through the intersections and, due to their oblique cuts, cause uneven lighting of the exterior surfaces. Meanwhile, light is also directed downwards in order to illuminate the surface below. The something special in the dynamic architectural interplay of light and shade is what the hanging light Le Soleil gives surroundings - whether it is illuminating the living room or in the object area. By using a suitable dimmer, even more individual light scenes can be created. After studying industrial design in Castellón de la Plana, Vicente GarcÃa Jiménez worked in Barcelona for renowned manufacturers of lighting and furniture before opening his own design studio in Udine in 2005. Le Soleil of Foscarini is one of his most important designs.
