The Forest Melbury 4m x 3m Log Cabin - Double Glazed is beautifully designed. Completed to a high specification throughout, it enjoys all the features needed to make a fantastic garden office, garden studio or family living space. With 34mm interlocking, kiln-dried log walls, this garden log cabin is both strong and weather-resistant. The premium 19mm tongue and groove floor will withstand years of footfall and is perfectly suited to storing heavier items. The 19mm tongue and groove roof has a modern pent style, which is both smart and unobtrusive. The cabin features Forest's Premium Felt which has twice the tear-resistance of standard felt and - with a 15 year life expectancy - will last three times as long. One bonus of opting for the Double Glazed Melbury (as opposed to the Single Glazed Melbury) is that it comes with premium felt AND underlay as standard. The premium felt has a life expectancy of 15 years and is twice as tear resistant as standard felt. The underlay provides another layer of weather protection while also protecting the felt as the timber shifts in changing temperatures. An optional upgrade to Superior Felt, which has three times the tear-resistance of standard felt and a fantastic 20-30 year life expectancy and still includes free underlay, is also available. This garden cabin includes 10m² of internal floor space (108ft²), which ensures plenty of room for shelves and furniture. Access is gained via glazed double doors, fitted with double glazed toughened glass and a key-operated lock to keep stored items and expensive equipment safe. There are 2 additional 3/4-length, fixed windows either side of the doors, as well as a smaller window which can be positioned on either side of the structure. The main windows use a tilt and turn mechanism, allowing side or top opening, and can be positioned either side of the log cabin. With this number of windows, the interior benefits from an abundance of natural light. All the windows are, like the doors, double glazed for improved insulation from both the weather and noise. All of the timber used to build this log cabin is FSC®-certified, sourced from sustainable, well-managed forests. Please note that the garden cabin MUST be assembled on a solid, level surface, for example poured concrete, and is delivered untreated so MUST be coated in a solvent-based preservative upon assembly. An installation service is available as an optional upgrade.
