For the current design, which combines contemporary aspects with a classic shade shape, the designer Philippe Starck is responsible, who designed the lamp series Ktribe for the Italian lighting manufacturer FLOS. Philippe Starck has made a name for himself in many ways in furniture and lighting design. He even designed the private rooms of the then President of the Republic at the Élysée Palace in his mid-30s. His creative spectrum ranges from furniture and lighting to designs for luxury yachts or, for example, an electric car. A dimmer switch attached to the cable also provides KTribe with the option of adjusting the light brightness entirely to personal needs.
