In 2000, Jasper Morrison's Air Chair used the air mould moulding process for the first time anywhere in the world. 2007 marked the birth of a new technological innovation with Stefano Giovannoni's First Chair. This polypropylene monobloc with its simple design uses an integral emptying process: emptying the volumes doesn’t just apply to the tubes, but to the entire structure (backrest, seat). All the volumes of the First Chair are thus emptied of their material. The result is a chair that’s light and sturdy at the same time. Stackable, it can be used both indoors and out.
