The Luxembourg range was initially created for use in Paris’ Jardin du Luxembourg and has become somewhat of a legend. Its style is the very quintessence of French design - embodying French culture in the form of furniture! This fabulous collection made from aluminium exudes lightness, joie de vivre and conviviality. In 2004, Fermob asked designer Frédéric Sofia to reinterpret the legendary chairs and armchairs of the Jardin du Luxembourg, created in 1923 by the City of Paris’ workshops, and which Fermob still manufactures today for the city’s parks. What resulted from that was this collection of furniture with the trademark distinctive lines, combining the lightness and hardiness of aluminium with the comfort of a curved slatted seat. Luxembourg has since become one of the greatest collections of aluminium garden furniture, able to meet the stresses of outdoor use and available in the wide range of colours which Fermob’s colour chart covers. This nod to the past with a touch of modernity is exported to all four corners of the world: Lincoln Castle (UK), Oakland Museum of California (USA), Angama Resort (Kenya), Kanagawa Parc (Japan)...
