The Faction Prodigy 3 is an every-day ski of choice for progressive skiers, using it in all terrain from park, to street, to backcountry and spring-time shredding. The Elliptical Sidecut uses a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski, the long radius underfoot means you can pivot easily while the shorter radius results in simpler turn initiation. The Moustache Flex ensures stability in front and behind the binding with a smooth, progressive flex in the tip and tail. XL 2.5 Edges add durability and Full Strength Sidewalls increase edge hold and stability as well as protection from damage. The poplar core flexes nicely as well as having heaps of vibration absorption, allowing the ski to pop, butter and stomp like an all-mountain freestyle ski and also have enough torsional stability to grip impressively. Micro-cap construction is a hybrid of a premium, sandwich sidewall construction fused with a lightweight, durable cap construction. With micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold and torsional stability while the ski’s topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, protecting the fragile join that can be prone to chipping. If I was going on a season, this ski would definitely be on my hitlist to consider because I know everyday would be a fun day on the hill.
