With the Diablo mounted high on the helmet to pinpoint obstacles and reduce shadows and the Six Pack flooding the trail with light from the handlebar even the trickiest trail can be ridden at daytime speeds. Both lights can be operated from the included handlebar remote, making cycling through the power modes much easier and safer, saving the battery for when it’s really needed. The Six Pack also has Reflex Technology, using its internal sensors to monitor the bike’s movements so that it can automatically supply up to 5,000 lumens when required but then dim the output on smoother trails to preserve battery life. Both lights can also have customised programmes set up in the smartphone app so that the output can be exactly tailored to the ride. The Six Pack has an OLED display that shows the exact remaining battery life and the Diablo has the Fuel Guage traffic light system to show how much power is left. Handily, the Smart Port allows the large battery in the Six Pack to be used as a power source to recharge other devices on overnight trips. Both the helmet mount of the Diablo and Six Pack’s handlebar mount are very solid, well designed and easy to use so that there is no wobble or vibrations from the lights and they can be pointed in exactly the right direction.
