The table comfortably seats 12 persons (see photos). Constructed from top quality solid mahogany, the table features a solid mahogany top with a stunning colour, decorated with a reeded moulding above a straight frieze, finished with further reeding. The table is raised on tapering legs, which terminate on solid brass cup castors. The table consists of a centre section with two drop leaves & a pair of D end tables. The table can be configured in a multitude of different ways: the two D ends can be used separately as console tables; the centre section can be used on its own with both leaves folded down, or one or both leaves folded out; the centre section can also have one drop leaf folded out & attached to a single D end, both drop leaves folded out & a single D end attached, & finally the table can have both leaves folded out & attached to both D ends, in order to create the full-size dining table, which will seat up to 12 people. This ability to be configured in so many different ways allows the table to be utilised in the best way possible according to room size & intended use. The table features four solid brass clips, which are used to connect the D ends to the folded-out centre section leaves. The chairs in the picture are not included in the price. The table boasts a stunning rich mahogany colour. It has fantastic original colour & patination this is due to the years of care & cleaning it has received.
