Constructed from top quality mahogany, the table features a solid flame mahogany top with a stunning colour, above a straight frieze. The table is raised on lovely tapering moulded legs. The table consists of a pair of 'D end' tables with a centre-section & two additional 'drop-in' leaves for extending the table. The table can be configured in a multitude of different ways: the two 'D ends' can be used separately as console tables, or they can be locked together to form a circular centre table, which will seat four people. The two 'D ends' can be attached either side of the centre-section, which will seat six people. The legs can be folded out on one 'D end' to accommodate one of the drop-in leaves, creating a table which will seat 8 people. Finally, the legs of both 'D ends' can be extended, such that both drop-in leaves can be attached, in order to create the full-size dining table, which will comfortable seat up to 8 people. This ability to be configured in so many different ways allow the table to be utilised in the best way possible according to room size & intended use. The table retains its eight brass clips, which are used to connect the various leaves together, & the underside of the table retains the original steel strap hinges & locking latch mechanism, which is rare to see. The chairs in the picture are not included in the price. The table boasts a stunning rich brown mahogany colour. It has fantastic colour & patination this is due to the years of care & cleaning it has received.
