This is our version of a traditional wooden shipping trunk or chest. These trunks are made to order from 100% reclaimed timber & will look great in any living room or bedroom. Boasting ample storage for your household items as well as doubling as a rustic or bohemian style coffee table. Left unoiled for a purist look although a coat or two of linseed, tung or danish oil would also make this chest look great. The lid has been left without hinges for a true shipping trunk feel & it can be completely removed. No hinges also gives this chest a clean non cluttered look. The lid fits snuggly on top & doesn't move about. A strip of purple heart or oak on either side keeps the lid in place. Generous jute rope handles finish off the chest & adds a touch of maritime to any room. Furniture castors can be installed if desired. A very solid yet practical item that deserves a prominent place in any home. A real focal point in any room. Please allow a week for manufacture.
