ntarsia Cactus Owl Tree interior wood colour are used at all my works & all are hand cut off. Finished with protective polish. This works make a difference in your home. Some of the wood I used (Maclura, eucalyptus, linden, acacia, poplar) 13 inches tall & 11 inches wide. MADE TO ORDER (it's worth what you expect) size 38x.28 cm Pattern design is by Judy Gale Roberts at Roberts Studio Inc. What is intarsia? Intarsia is a woodworking technique that uses varied shapes, sizes, & species of wood fitted together to create a mosaic-like picture with an illusion of depth. Intarsia is created through the selection of different types of wood, using their natural grain pattern & color (but can involve the use of stains & dyes) to create variations in the pattern. After selecting the specific woods to be used within the pattern, each piece is then individually cut, shaped, & finished. Sometimes areas of the pattern are raised to create more depth.
