While I was carving this, I was thinking this is going to be a BLAH! spoon. When I oiled it, badda-bing. The grain popped out & it turned out to be a beauty in disguise. . Especially in the poring spout area. I hand carve all my spoons, raise the grain, hand sand them again, & hand rub them with food-safe oil.
