Description
This bowl was made by gluing segments of different types of wood together & then turning the glue-up on a lathe to form a bowl. The top rim & bottom of the bowl are made from oak. in between the dark segments are walnut & the light segments are maple. After forming the shape, the wood was sanded smooth & then a wax emulsion finish was applied to the bowl. The finish is very high quality & will stand up to rough use & will remain water resistant. The bowl can be cleaned with warm soapy water & then dried with a towel. the bowl should never be put in the dishwasher. The bowl measures 6 in diameter at the rim & 5 in height. Segmented Bowl
