This hand made Raku vase was made with white stoneware clay & decorated with feathers & horse hair. 7.25 tall with an opening of 4.5. Just love how every side of this vase has something different to show. To make this effect you heat the vase up very hot & while still hot its bought out & then items are placed on that create this effect. in this case the feather & horse hair. Smoked Raku pottery can give some amazing affect. That is part of the fun in making it also there can be a lot that goes wrong during the firing process. Note: decorative only I would not recommend putting water in as raku by nature can still be porous. Would hold dried flowers nicely or just place on a shelf. Raku Vase
