Vintage Matchstick Woven 'Lucifer' Ikea Area Rug A quirky rug initially designed by Ikea for kids rooms, its design was named, believe it or not, 'Lucifer', hence no comments required. The piece comes in a contrasting black & white matchstick motif with colourful accents. The piece would also work well in one's living area, dining room or even bedroom, as well as in a showroom or restaurant. Origin: made by Ikea in 1999, produced in Egypt. Condition: in good vintage shape. No tears or rips, no smells. Some light signs of wear from previous use visible, mostly around the edges. Overall in good shape for its age. The carpet has been professionally cleaned as well as preventively treated with gentle all-natural chemicals against potential harm from insects or fungus. Please note that after unfurling the rug it will be necessary to roll it up facing the other side in order to help the shape relax, polypropylene threads tend to 'remember' their shape hence the needs to help it 'unlearn' it's curled-up shape (please see the last image).
