This is such a beautifully detailed print of fawn at rest in a bed of leaves, surrounded by trilliums. A nod to Northern Michigan springtime by Michigan nature illustrator Thomas W. Ford. The pencil signature is visible in the bottom left hand corner of the print. Thomas W. Ford is an experienced naturalist, lifelong birder, plant expert & frequent presenter who spent seven years working in various capacities for Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. He is considered among the most knowledgeable experts on the wildlife of northern Michigan, & also is known for his wildlife art & book illustrations. Vintage item from the 1970s or 80s. Professionally framed with two layers of brown mat & painted black frame. The piece is behind glass & in very clean condition. A special addition to the nature collection in your cabin or cottage!
