This lovely copper serving bowl or tray has a Victorian style but I think it was made more recently. It is heavy & sits on 4 ornate pewter feet. I have cleaned & polished the interior of this piece but not the bottom hence the difference in colour between the two. The pewter ornate scalloped edging adds a sophisticated antique touch & this piece will sit really well in an antique Victorian setting. Dimensions; 14 x 10 / 36 x 26cm height 3 / 7cm Interior scalloped area 9 x 6 / 23 x 15cm Weight: 2.38lbs / 1.08k COPPER CARE Copper is a metal that oxidizes meaning it tarnishes in the presence of oxygen. To clean copper there is nothing more simple: mix a paste of white vinegar & regular cheap quality salt & wipe over the surface. Then 'fix' the copper with a commercial copper cream which will have a lasting effect. The result is magic !
