A beautiful vintage Standall Brand Linen Cream Hand Embroidered Luncheon Set Tablecloth & Mats still in the original box. The unused set has the original label & says that it comprises a square Centrepiece Table cloth, 6 large circular mats & 6 circular small mats. The cream linen mats & tablecloth are enhanced with mink coloured ecru embroidery detail. There is another red & gold label which says Finest Hand Needlework. The back of the box also has a label saying Standall Brand, Luncheon Set, 4938. Please note - The top circular small mat has faint pink markings from the red ribbon. The linen mats & tablecloth are made of cream linen with hand embroidered mink flowers. So much work has gone into creating this vintage textile set. They are unused & wrapped in red ribbon. The box has a gorgeous striped black & gold design. Apart from the slight red staining from the ribbon, The gorgeous set is in excellent immaculate vintage condition with no rips or really obvious marks that I can see. The black & gold box is a little battered with some torn edges mended with sellotape, but still serviceable. The centrepiece Tablecloth is approx. 44 x 44 cm (17 1/2 x 17 1/2 in). The 6 large mats have a 25 cm (10 in) diameter & the 6 smaller mats have a diameter of 15 cm (6 in). Vintage tablecloths & mats are versatile as well as gorgeous. Apart from the obvious use for protecting tables, they feature gorgeous patterns & pictures. This funky retro vintage tablecloth would look great made into a cushion, made into bag or as a gift to a friend, loved one or work colleague with a sense of fun & brightly coloured home decor.
