The vintage zine milk glass oil lamp is an antique lamp produced in the beginning of 1900's in France. Main body of gas lamp is made of zine material. Storage tank is copper & there are 2 alternatives for candle part. One is milk glass & the other one is clear glass. It is very difficult to find such an old one nowadays. It is unique. French Oil lamp is in very good condition. The mechanism of the oil lamp is working well. The glass is original & undamaged. There can be attritions on it depending on its age. Due to the brightness of your computer screen, original colors may look a bit different. Antique items, please do not compare them with other non-original items. If it has been changed or restored anywhere, I state it in the description. You will see the difference when you buy the vintage works that have preserved their originality. How can you understand if a kerosene lamp is antique? Use a black light Hold a black light next to the lamp in a dark room. New oil lamps are held together with glue, & new glue fluoresces in blacklight. Old lamps have glass parts that are fused, so they don't glow in black light. If you don't know the deep thought of the antique, don't buy it. It will bring you glory, it will bring you happiness & most importantly it will bring you peace to your home.
