Description
Circa 1960s ceramic plate. Diameter 27.4cm, 10 3/4 inches. Colour illustration to top of artwork depicting a red barn, trees & country track, a field with small haystacks, & mist swirling on the foreground-side. Foliage pattern around the edges. Circular plate with wavy edge. White background colour. Backstamp underneath. Made in England by Johnson Bros pottery. Pattern name 'Autumn Mists, The Friendly Village'. Under the glaze decoration. Artwork from a hand engraving, & very lovely it is too! Additional colours appear to be hand painted. Condition: The outside edge has a small nibble & a small rough spot. The top of the plate & illustration are excellent. A few stray tiny dots of colour in the white, from manufacture. The bottom of the plate has visible kiln spur abrasion marks & a few stray specks of colour, again from manufacture. Visit our shop for more vintage prints, pictures & other collectables.
