This is a useful bookcase which dates to the late 20th century. Made of heavy solid pine it is simply styled & could serve a variety of uses in any home. The bookcase is wide & not particularly tall, it will hold a great number of books or could be used for display purposes. It has two fixed shelves, a panelled back, scalloped top apron & the base is set on a deep plinth. I have hand painted the exterior in a dark grey before lightly distressing the finish & applying white wax. The interior has been painted in white. The paintwork been waxed for protection, it has a smooth & matt finish. CONDITION This piece is in good structural condition with small cosmetic marks of age & use. MEASUREMENTS height - 91.5cms width - 180cms at the top, 183cms at the base depth- 28cms shelf depth-25cms shelf heights-top 22.5cms, middle 24.5cms, bottom 24cms The measurements are taken at the widest points.
