Description
This is a very useful large vintage writing table/desk dating to the early 1950s. I love these types of desks, there is something very evocative about its industrial & utilitarian design that speaks of a time gone by. The desk is fairly heavy & solid, made mainly of oak, with a large rectangular top & two wide drawers to the front which are finished with very simple block handles. The desk is set on tall tapered block legs & the wood has a natural looking waxed finish. CONDITION This piece is generally in solid structural condition with various marks & dents to the top. There is no key for the drawer locks. MEASUREMENTS height - 77cms to desk top, 61cms to underside of drawers width-137cms depth - 75cms drawers-59cms deep x 54cms wide x 7cms high The measurements are taken at the widest points.
