Description
This is a vintage cabinet which dates to the 1960s. It could serve a variety of purposes in any home & could be adapted to house a sink in a small bathroom. It is a utilitarian piece of furniture, made for everyday use from pine & mixed woods, rather simply made & quite lightweight. The cabinet has small double doors to the front which are finished with turned wooden handles. The doors open to reveal an old painted interior with two thin wooden shelves which are rather rustic. Above the doors is a single wide drawer finished with aged metal cup handles. When we found this piece is was painted in white gloss paint, this has been stripped away to reveal the pine beneath. The wood has a naturally waxed finish which is very matt. It is a rather rustic & well aged piece. CONDITION This piece is in solid structural condition with many small marks of age & use to the wood. It is a very rustic & well aged piece, there are several areas of old wood worm holes which we have treated as a precaution. As mentioned it is quite simply made & fairly lightweight. MEASUREMENTS height - 91.5cms width - 68.5cms at the top, 63.25cms at the base depth - 39cms The measurements are taken at the widest points.
