An attractive small country house antique bow fronted chest dating to the 19th century. Made of mahogany & oak the chest is rather petite in size & well made, with a nicely aged patina & plenty of character. The front is fitted with four spacious drawers which are oak lined & finished with turned handles, the original drawer locks are present but sadly we don't have a key. The base is set on bracket feet & the wood has a French Polished finish which has retained a good sheen from years of polishing. CONDITION This piece is in solid structural condition with many cosmetic marks of age & use. There are various patch repairs to the veneer on the sides of the chest & the top of chest has a lot of marks & scratches below the polished finish. On one side panel there is quite a basic repair to the back edge.
