Wood & Metal Banded Circa 1950 Storage Chest/Trunk/Coffer with Metal Side Handles Great Coffee Table Excellent Original Condition This old trunk makes for a smashing Coffee Table, but is equally well suited as a Toy Box, Shoe Box, Blanket box etc. The box is very old & very well Made. Metal banded around the lid it has double side handles & a locking clasp. Finished in the original canvas covered wood. Having two metal handles at either end the trunk is in excellent condition. It has been given a thorough clean & a couple coats of wax to bring out the black colour a little more. Superb for General Storage & makes for a great Coffee Table. Clean & ready to be placed into any environment. We also have some smaller & larger trunks & some metal travel trunks in the store plus a few others. If you have the time please check out our other items. Great proportions to this trunk 77 cm Long by 43 cm wide by 33 cm deep. A superb item which could also be used for general display of stock & or storage. Would also make for a good Toy Chest. There are no sharp edges so should be safe for all but the smallest hands. Items are treated whether they show signs of rot or worm. They come into our home & are stored in a wooden shed with other wooden items so the last thing we need is worm. The treatment once dry is odour less & safe to the touch & does not darken or affect the wood in any way. So whilst some items may show sign of woodworm the critters that made the holes are long gone or long dead. in many situations the holes left can add character to the piece SHIPPING Please be aware that in some cases I can offer large shipping discounts for certain items & combination of items.
