Fabulous rectangular original Art Deco Nibble Tray. Very high quality item. Possibly French in origin. I would guess this has been a display item rather than used regularly owing to the condition. Lovely chrome surround holding in place 4 removeable clear glass dishes. These are pressed glass made to look like cut glass. Very high quality pressing. The chrome is fixed to a large & very heavy rectangular black glass base. This is thick safety glass known as Vitrolite & has been used for backing for bathroom mirror sets owing to its strength & long lasting nature. The underside of the base has a rippled finish with 4 circular chrome ball shaped feet. Truly lovely item with a lot of class to it & a talking point item for sure. Just simply do not see items like this anymore. in fantastic vintage condition. Couple of very minor nibbles on the corner of the tray. Some minor wear to the chrome. Other than that just usual vintage wear. Would make a lovely gift to any lover of the Art Deco era. Could be used also to display a lovely item. Dimensions - Base - 35.5cms long, 18 cms deep, 3cms high Dishes - 14cms long. 8cms deep, 3.5cms high Base is extremely heavy & as such the postage is high as all needs to be carefully packed.
