A wooden bowl, the bottom of which is decorated with inlays. Half of the bowl is made by machine & the other half by hand. The rim of the bowl was made from machine-pressed wood. The lowest edge has the smallest diameter. The next - somewhat larger - wooden ring was glued to this. This continues until the top row with the largest diameter is reached. The bottom shows a beautiful inlay made of wood. in this work, wooden plates are inserted onto a carrier plate. Different pieces of wood are placed inside or next to each other on a flat surface in such a way that a flat surface is created again, but which now contains inclusions of different colors & structures. The motif of the inlay of this bowl is a wide-open flower. Inlay technology has a long history. One of the oldest known objects is a cedar wood coffin decorated with inlay work from Egypt of the 12th dynasty (around 2012-1792 BC). This wooden bowl is well suited as a decorative object in rustic rooms. You can also display the wooden bowl in various club rooms. For example in fishing clubs, in the clubhouse of hiking clubs, in the sailing club & in many other rooms. You can also use the bowl to serve various fruits. From nuts to berries to potato chips. The wooden bowl is in good condition. However, the wood of the marquetry already shows signs of wear due to its age.
