Two Ships Passing is a piece from Marianne Vecsey's Peg People series, which follows the adventures of a group of quirky rhombus-like characters. They ski, they fish, they fall in love & they celebrate life. These quirky, playful paintings are bursting with color & filled with joy. Perfect for a kid's room, a nursery, vacation homes or really any room in the house. The Peg People are traced from a small block of wood, used to support the corners on the back of a frame. I wanted to make the back of the painting the point of the painting, the artist says. It was a way to construct life out of the support system behind traditional art. Marianne Vecsey is an artist & educator who has been featured in shows & galleries across New York. She has sold more than 300 paintings that hang in several countries.
