ABOUT THE PHOTO This is a photo I took during my trip to the Greek Islands in September of 2021. The Island is Schoinousa. A tiny island in the Cyclades. The island is so tiny that you can walk all island in just a few hours. I spent two days there. I wanted to capture a photo that could tell the story of this small place, the beauty, & the calmness. When I saw this boat, I thought that this could be an excellent subject. I decided that it could be even more interesting If I could find an elevated point of view. I guessed that this would create depth to the image. I hiked a not-so-small hill so I could have a better viewpoint. The hike was more challenging than I thought. It was morning, & the sun was scorching. When I arrived at the peak, I saw that there was a tiny peninsula in the distance. That would create a nice layer to the image, I thought. The soft blue color of the Aegean sea was looking perfect at that time of the day also. So I was ready to take the image.
