Description
Full set of the Gerard design by Penn Hardware catalog E-13770 C:1915 in brass plated wrought steel. A fair example of this knob, no real defects such as dents or dings just shows years of wear. Made of wrought steel with a brass plating. Original plating is now at I would estimate 50% to 60%. Knobs & escutcheons are straight & free of structural defects such as dinks & dents. The mortise has been restored. Stripped down to bare rust-free metal & repainted. All interior parts cleaned & polished & springs replaced if necessary. Includes original key. The mortise face is also plated steel with a brass plate that is worn down to 40% at best. Please remember that these are old pieces, many coming from homes 100+ years old so they will NEVER EVER be perfect & will always show some evidence of natural wear.
