This is a lovely oak vintage 2 drawer cabinet in very good condition for its age & is a solid little chest. As soon as I saw it I thought it would look lovely in a blue colour wash which is complimented by the original drop handles which were just given a little clean to bring them back to life. The 2 draws are a good size, nice & deep. I hand painted it in a custom mix of Annie Sloan chalk paint, Paris Grey, Old White & Greek blue. I then applied a colour wash of old white to the draws using various painting techniques. The drawer was then gently distressed in places to reveal the wood & then sealed with clear wax for added protection. I used some white wax to the draw fronts & a hint of black wax for shading in a few places. I love the drop handles & think they look great against the blues. They would look great in either a bathroom, bedroom or hallway. Please remember that this is a old vintage piece of furniture, therefore it will show signs of character & slight wear & tear, any obvious characteristics are specified. It is a lovely piece of furniture that stands firm & strong & the draws open smoothly. Due to different computer screen calibrations, colours may be slightly different than what is pictured.
