A beautifully simple embroidered vintage sampler in original frame. The Lord Is My Shepherd is hand-embroidered on a natural linen background, & is set in a garden scene under a tree with blossom. It is framed under glass with a brown wooden frame, backed with board & the original paper framing tape & has 2 brass hanging rings. There is what looks like a price, or date, & a name written in pencil on the backing paper but it is now too faint to decipher. The picture measures 10 inches x 10.75 inches. The embroidered piece is in very good vintage condition with just a couple of pale brown spots that I can see. The original frame has some wear as can be seen in the photos but this adds to its vintage charm. The backing paper tape & pins have age deterioration, & the hanging rings are tarnished, as can be seen in the photos but altogether this beautiful piece is intact & strong.
