I absolutely love this! It's got a great patina with a subtle initials on it & a date of 1897 which adds to it's history. It looks like it constructed of copper with a tinned (or silvered?) coating. It would make a lovely vase. All my items are genuinely old & will show signs of wear & age. Please study the photos as they are the best description I can give you. The handle is well fixed at the top but away from the main body at its base. in my opinion this aesthetically does not detract & personally doesn't worry me but this is an easy fix (if you know someone that solders).
