Description
A pair of tigers prowl around the outside of this hand thrown black & white ramen bowl. The exterior celebrates soft black sheen of the unglazed black stained clay. The interior is glazed in a light jade green. The pattern is created by using stencils & then applying a layer of black stained slip. When the stencils are removed, the white underlying clay body is revealed. Details are added by paint on black slip with a small brush. The exterior surface is left unglazed resulting in a dramatic, highly durable, matte finish. About 6 diameter, 3 1/2 tall, holds 24 fl oz. (about 3 cups ). Food safe, microwave safe, dishwasher safe.
