Wheel-thrown stoneware bowl. Red & grey glaze on brown stoneware. Ideal for berries, olives, dips, rice, eggs, or small fruit. Signed. 5 inches in diameter, 2 3/8 inches tall, 240 g. Handmade from start to finish. This brown stoneware is fired twice to over 2000oF, so it is strong & durable. All of my glazes are lead-free & safe for food contact. Bases are smooth. Dishwasher, microwave, & oven safe. All ceramic objects should be treated with care when exposed to changing temperatures to avoid thermal shock. When using ceramics in a conventional oven, it is helpful to preheat them with the oven rather than putting cold items in a hot oven.
