We are delighted to make available this stunning mid century office-in-a-box, commonly referred to as a 'Magic Box'. This particular item is in the style of those produced by Mumenthaler & Meier (Swiss) & Leif Elvestad (Norway). This version is quite unique in that it is a compact version, beautifully designed with ample shelving, two pull-out drawers, a filing cabinet & stationary holder. The metamorphic office closes with a key to leave you with a Lovely console table. The item sits on adjustable retro legs & the pull-out filing cabinet on a single castor for ease of movement. The unit is finished with beautiful teak veneer that carries a striking patina. We have added a matching period chair, which is included in the price. We are unsure of the maker, but this version seems much rarer than other versions. This is not only a unique piece of antique furniture, but also a very elegant & practical desk to be tucked away in a neat space, yet offer a generous working space when open. Condition Report The office system is in very good vintage condition. There are some light marks & slight wear to the top, but it retains its mid century aesthetics & is a solid piece of furniture.
