Pair of Sheffield Silver? Unmarked 1850 Repouse' handled Mugs with gorgeous hand chased & engraved decoration to the bulbous bodies on stepped bases, with applied handles. Thought to be for twins or siblings, they are marked C.G. On one & J.G. On the other, they differ slightly in ornament with repouse' work, & stop fluting , all done by hand in the Era. Very impressive. Both approximately are 5 inches by 3.5 inches & are in wonderful condition. They have not been silver tested but look like sterling examples of the period.
