This attractive glass curio jar features the beautiful, hollow cocoon of the Domestic Silkmoth (Bombyx mori). This intriguing species has been used for milenia as a source of silk. The cocoon itself is made of a single thread of raw silk, ranging in length from 300 to an incredible 900 metres (1,000 to 3,000 ft) long. Cushioned between two layers of natural lichen, the specimen in The Wild Curiosity's curio jars make for an ideal display piece.
