A beautiful piece of English art glass with encapsulated pieces of coloured glass creating a 'seagrass' effect, designed & made by renowned glass artist Will Shakspeare of Shakspeare Glass in Somerset, England. Dating to the early 2000s this exquisite hand blown vase is intriguing in its design, looking different from every viewpoint. Catching the light it appears full of life & with its colour palette of green, blue & black with touches of yellow it would complement any contemporary or vintage interior. Height : 20cm / 8 Width of lip : 15cm / 6 Width of base : 8cm / 3.2 Weight: 0.9kg Ground base showing pontil mark, evidence of being hand blown. He has been featured regularly in the press & on TV including Inside The Factory, Kirstie's Homemade Home & Kirstie's Homemade Christmas with Kirstie Allsopp, & in the Telegraph Magazine with David Nicholls. Will set up Shakspeare Glass over 25 years ago & has supplied many galleries & well-known stores in that time. He has also worked in Central & South America as a consultant in glass production & design for various NGO's. in more recent years he has been joined by his wife Kate who looks after the trade side of things.
