Rustic Refectory / Prosecco Banqueting Table, extra wide at 1100mm + 2 Split Benches Handmade in Outwood, Surrey, by The Table Guy (@thetableguyUK) this unique dining table is 1100mm wide (5 scaffold planks) & from 3300mm to 3800mm long, made from reclaimed wood. This table can come with/without ice buckets. —————————— - THE BASE (frame): The frame is formed of 75mm chunky square detachable legs (included in price) & central stretcher, utilising reclaimed wood & builder’s off-cuts or extra’s (where possible). The rustic sturdy frame is sanded then applied with two coats of Farrow & Ball paint with a colour of your choice. - THE TABLE TOP: Constructed from sections of used scaffold boards. The boards benefit from repeated sanding, that are then stained with Manns environmentally friendly, high quality, water-based wood stain for interior wood (with a colour of your choice). The top is then protected with Fiddes Hard wax oil, a premium hard wax oil for interior wood surfaces made from a blend of natural oil & waxes. Due to the width of this unique reclaimed wooden table, every banquet now becomes a spacious affair, no cramped dining at this table! Each leg has a 10mm rubber foot to protect any surface. BENCHES: Two long sturdy benches are included in the price. Due to the length of the table, the normal long bench has been split into two benches. These benches are for ONE side only. The benches will nestle under the table when not in use. ———————— - THE DESCRIPTION: (the Xtra-Factor for Prosecco Banqueting Table): This table is not just wide but also boasts a very unique feature! On first sight the table looks like any other dining, refectory table however when you remove two/three sections of scaffold board, two/three cavity troughs are revealed, these give your table great everyday versatility. When filled with ice, the cavity troughs become central ice buckets comfortably housing numerous Prosecco, wine & beer bottles or drinks of you & your guests favourite tipple, complemented by two beer bottle openers attached to opposing table legs. The ice buckets are also fitted with a tap on the underside for simple draining of water from resulting melted ice. Alternatively, you may want to use your trough for a variety of potted growing mixed herbs or flowers, serving not just as an attractive centrepiece yet also for guests to add to dishes as required. Why not impress your diners with an electric hot plate (not included) placed between the troughs, keep the food cool on plates nestling on top of ice in the troughs, perfect for long casual evenings during the winter months. When the trough covers are replaced, the cavity becomes a storage area for those items that every table seems to collect. Due to the width of this unique table, every banquet now becomes a spacious affair, no cramped dining at this table!
