Warm blankets made to order – because British picnics need them! (And so do summer nights outside, fireside armchairs, campfire discussions, parcel shelves, laps... Baby blankets & saddle blankets also available by request.) I can make any dimension up to 60" wide & any length – see price guide in the table to the left (last image). My preferred wool is Scottish or Shetland-type tweed for the warp thread, as per most of these pictures. This can be a huge range of colours depending on availability. Weft can either be the same or of a thicker, natural, perhaps softer, ideally local wool. Most customers describe a landscape to me & I work from that image. Do write to me with your ideas & I'll respond as to whether/how I can fulfil them & advise on custom request prices (usually 50% more than the stock equivalent item). Expensive weft yarns, complicated colour combinations or designs, larger dimensions and/or denser weaves will all increase the price due to higher materials costs, lengthier consultation & experimentation time that make for labour intensivity.
