Description
a large & impressive vase or elevated posy bowl from the Sklo Union. this bowl was designed in the former Czechoslovakia -probably by designer Josef Hospodka. it was designed & made at the Chribska factory. the vase is very tall. it rises from a shaped (circular) foot into an open bloom of four stylised petals.. the stem is very thick & the lobes of the petals are also broad. he base & trunk are in a lovely pale salmon pink glass & the petals have a soft blue hue which darkens to a from royal blue at the rim. This handmade item has an undulating organic form. the glass is very thick & heavy. the bowl stands at 285mm tall. the foot is 70mm in diameter & the bowl is 180mm wide & is 140mm from front to back the vase is in excellent vintage condition. there is one very tiny flea bite or perhaps irregularity on the foot rim but otherwise is as near mint as possible. there is an original label for Chribska Large Vintage Chribska Glass Vase Posy Bowl.
