This piece of art is from my new Cocoa Collection which will be featuring tiles done in a beautiful & subtle cocoa color. The coloring reminds me very much of a delicious cup of hot chocolate. This botanical bas relief features the lovely blooms from my ornamental Aztec Grass. The plaster wall tile artwork has been finished with a matte sealant. As always, this flower fossil is one of a kind. I have also included a few photos of the process so you can get a glimpse into this beautiful artform. No copies made, Enjoy!! This listing is for the bas relief artwork in the first photo, any other works shown are meant as display grouping ideas The artwork comes with a nail hole in the back that will accommodate a small nail. This piece of art is signed by me on the back. Copyright Ruth Welter 2022 The process of botanical bas relief has many steps & starts with real flowers that are arranged & pressed into clay that has been rolled flat. The clay is used to create a mold & plaster is poured into that mold to create the beautiful relief design you see. Removing the artwork from the mold, the piece is left to dry for a week. When dry, the plaster becomes white in color. The relief work is then sanded & sprayed with a sealant to protect the plaster & ready the piece for painting. Each piece of art is hand painted by me, sometimes using quality texture mediums along with my professional acrylic paints to create a beautiful work of art, while other pieces are left unpainted to focus on the natural color of the plaster. For inside display only. I hope you will enjoy my artwork. Please Note - This piece of artwork is meant to be hung or displayed indoors. As these pieces are not kiln fired ceramics, they cannot be used in showers or as kitchen back splashes. To clean, use a feather duster or soft damp cloth. All the botanical bas relief pieces I create are made one at a time, by me, all by hand. For this reason, please understand that sizes & shapes will vary slightly. Each is unique & one of a kind.
