Antique French Small Sofa Marquise Rosewood 19th Century - Perfect Size For The End of The Bed 126cm W Beautiful antique French Marquise sofa. This size of antique sofa was designed for a lady in her crinoline to sit comfortably. Features a solid rosewood frame with intricate carved details, including two carved acorn finials at each corner. The seat is sprung & plump. The fabric features beautiful Chinese scenes of traditionally dressed women, pagodas & birds. Would look beautiful at the end of a bed. The sofa is in excellent condition for its age. The spring seat is in very good condition & the underside of the sofa has been professionally re webbed. The fabric does have a few small marks, predominately along the front edge but not very noticeable in my opinion. Dimensions (approx) 126 cm wide (at the widest point) 97 cm high (from floor to highest point at the carved finial corners) 38 cm high (floor to top of seat) 59 cm high (floor to top of arm at the front) 68 cm deep (overall depth at deepest point) 52 cm (seat depth) If you'd like any other measurements or info just let me know.
